В Британии маленькая девочка прислала магазину записку и два фунта стерлингов в качестве компенсации за разбитую ей ранее ёлочную игрушку в торговом зале. Это случилось в кембриджском магазине сети John Lewis, письмо от ребенка было получено во вторник, 3 декабря. В записке сказано:

«Простите, я разбила елочный шар в субботу. Он стоил два фунта. Вот деньги за него. Еще раз простите. Фэйт, пять лет». Деньги прикреплены скотчем к полоске цветной бумаги, которая приклеена к письму.

в любом языке в зависимости от того, насколько грамотно мы напишем письмо, настолько нужный и полный получим результат. как-то я помогал поучить американское гражданство двум украинским братьям. мы поехали в посольство, собрав документы. меня туда не пустили. и был получен отказ по 1-му брату, которому явно светило гражданство. "ну не положено вам. уходите". мой заказчик дал задание изложить суть дела письменно. я написал на 2-х страницах и добавил, что напишу жалобу на посольство, если они будут упрямиться, указав адрес их вышестоящей инстанции. на следующей неделе братья поехали в посольство. по прочтении письма 1-му брату было предложено принять присягу. и он получил паспорт США. 2-й брат получил это чуть позже.

How to write Get-well-soon Letters. when you set out to write a get-well-soon letter, write with your heart and not your mind. Try to enforce on your mind why the person is important to you and write with feeling. The results will always be good.
Perhaps the question that is looming in your head is how do I start such a letter? Your greeting should show that the person you are writing to is very dear to you. You could write: Dear Emma, Or Dearest Emma.

Always mention the person’s name. Even if you are writing to your teacher, or your Boss, it is always a good idea to mention the person’s name. Dear Boss, or Dear Madam would sound very impersonal. You could appropriately write: Dear Miss Ann Or Dear Mr. Doe

Truth is, even your boss, who's lying sick in the hospital bed, would like to see that you regard him as a friend, and not just as your boss.
In you opening paragraph, you have to show that you are sad that the person is ill. But immediately follow that up with sentiments that inspire hope of recovery. You could write, for instance:( Read more... )

слова, которые вы учите, должны быть применены в деле.
самое эффективное и приятное дело в этом смысле - переписка с иностранными
друзьями. именно друзьями, вам должно быть интересно с ними!
когда слова накладываются на эмоции - результат не заставит себя ждать.

о чем вы будете думать сегодня, 25 октября, в 17-18 часов вечера?
наверняка об ужине, встречах на вечерах и домашних делах.
а вот если у вас будет заграничный друг, по дороге домой вы будете
думать, как бы про все эти дела рассказать на английском языке,
вспоминая слова и удивляясь как вы могли подзабыть то или иное слово.
когда вечером изложите эти мысли в виде письма - то всё написанное - запомните.
ещё бы! вы ведь так старались, мозгами работали, по словарям лазили...

разговоры по скайпу - это не то. хорошее дело, но пусть будет попозже.
для начала писать учитесь. хотите запомнить слова - пишите их.

находить друзей очень легко. вводи в окошко поиска penpals или pen friends.
не нужно выбирать носителей языка. пишите центрально- и северо- европейцам,
например. их языки сложнее английского и поэтому довольно хорошо его знают.
европеец будет писать лишь самыми ходовыми словами, в которых он 100 раз уверен.
американец же запросто напишет: "ну чё. тема клёвая. давай задружбанимся. как оно
ничего? вчера тусняк крутой был, щас меня чутка колбасит. поэтому чмоки-поки".

когда я начинал писать, я вылавливал самые ходовые фразы у одних друзей
и вставлял их в письма другим друзьям.
первейшая задача для вас - уметь рассказать о себе.
